Wine Led Foodie Event!

With the last few events being a huge success, we’ve decided to carry on with our wine led foodie events!

We love getting epic bottles of wine in front of you guys and pairing it with a small plate of food that compliments the wine you are drinking!

Kelley Fox Wines

The beautiful and historic Durant Vineyard was planted in 1973 by the Durant family, who continue to both live there and farm there. They are wonderful people, and it’s a dream come true for Kelley Fox to make wine from their vineyard. The Durant Vineyard is on the southern slopes of the classic Dundee Hills neighbouring Domaine Drouhin.

The Dundee Hills for a very long time has been referred to as the “heart of the wine country”. Though the soil there is volcanic with silt, clay, and loam (“Jory”), the Lark Block is from a block of vines planted on a small parcel of unusual ancient marine soil in 1991.

The Lark Block is planted to Dijon 96, known in Burgundy for producing nervy, finely balanced, and elegant Chardonnays.

On the night….

This time we have decided to get you drinking Kelley Fox ‘Lark Block’ Chardonnay from the Dundee Hills in Oregon.

This Chardonnay tastes and drinks as 100% Oregon. The nose begins with powdery minerals, delicate tropical fruits, and creamy citrus. These aromas are repeated in the mouth that has beautiful texture and a lasting finish. When they racked it towards the end of harvest, the overhead doors opened, a friend walked into the building asking what in the world smelled so good. There is something heavenly about this one…

For food Lloyd will be making a seafood risotto to accompany this epic chardonnay.
