Sandro Fay Sforzato Roncho Del Picchio 2019
The San Gervasio vineyard extends over an area of 2,5 hectares in the commune of Teglio at 750 metres. This is the site they use for the grapes that go through partial drying (appassimento in Italian) The resulting wine is Sforzato Ronco del Picchio is a stunner, rich and powerful, whilst maintaining elegance and freshness, this is a cracking alternative to Amarone and will cellar very well indeed, we've had bottles from the 90's recently!
